Bordeaux Rouge is a blend of typical Bordeaux grape varieties: Merlot (65%), Cabernet Sauvignon (25%) and Cabernet Franc (10%).
Merlot gives roundness and fruit, Cabernet Sauvignon, power and structure and Cabernet Franc refinement.
COLOUR: A glittering, intense garnet red.
NOSE: The nose initially expresses wild strawberry and redcurrant aromas, then opens up on notes of cherry and blackberry with a touch of nutmeg.
PALATE: The fruit-driven attack is dominated by intense red fruit flavours, especially wild strawberry, redcurrant and cherry, while the mid-palate reveals riper fruit such as blackberry and a hint of blackcurrant. The tannins are nicely balanced: supple enough for easy drinking but powerful enough to ensure good structure and character.
