A stylish White Burgundy showing depth and concentration (100% Chardonnay). Medium lemon with defined legs. Enticing aroma of hawthorn and baked apples with notes of buttered brioche. Succulent preserved fruits including poached pear, apple compote, frangipane and a touch of Madagascan vanilla. Soft and sensual with mellow fruit-appeal and medium body. Supple and rounded with a creamy, buttery texture plus a dry and long finish. Drinking well now although it has the potential to age for several more years.
Pairs well with poultry such as chicken, partridge, guinea fowl, grouse or quail. Also good with funghi including wild mushroom duxelle or velouté and vol-au-vents or Chicken Forestière. Good with pasta or gnocchi in a creamy sauce. Excellent with medium hard cheese like Tomme de Savoie or Comté.
